How do you wear yours? WINNER!

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Our Friday Fun competition ‘How do you wear yours?’ was great success. We had many great styling tips for the Love from Emma range just in time for the festival season.

How do you wear yours?

The lucky winner is Hannah from Brightlingsea in Essex, England who said her style tip was layering. She suggested teaming the salmon rydal gathered dress with a floral skirt to give a “real twist to your outfit.”

We loved Hannah’s original styling. “The greatest fashion advice is to love what you are wearing and be confident, showing your personality.” £250 People Tree vouchers and a signed Emma Watson tote bag is on its way to her now! She told us “I absolutely love what People Tree and Emma are doing and it’s incredible that I can play a part in making a difference.” Well done to Hannah!

A very big thank you to all of you who entered. Here are some of our other favourite tips from dedicated fans…

Holly

Holly

Holly from Cheltenham, England “The Union Jack dress looks great tucked into high-waisted skirts for an 80’s look. This is a really easy look that can be dressed up with ankle boots.” Holly also dressed her Union Jack dress into a festival look and casually with a cardigan. Try our kelly contrast trim cardigan for a casual look.

Charles

Charles - keeping it simple

Charles from Harrogate, England said, “To me, simple is better. Inconspicuous clothes are the type I’d go for – nothing too flashy, especially in the summer months.” Charles is wearing the fashion award t-shirt.

We love Jessica from Australia and her care free style. She said, “It’s important for the youth of today to be educated in fair trade. It’s great to mix and match pieces that make a statement.” See her below and get the look with a Love from Emma dress with a skinny knit scarf.

Andrew

Andrew

Andrew sent us a great picture of him in sunny Australia. His style tip was, “Keep things simple with cool cotton t-shirts, a cardigan for breezy days and flip flops. I believe what you wear can be trendy, creative, whilst still standing for something important like giving a voice to those who need it.” We agree with Andrew and think our salisbury jersey cardigan is perfect for those breezy summer days.

Kate - rocking it with vintage

Kate from Kent, England said, “I like to wear my Love from Emma dresses on sunny days teamed with gladiator sandals and a vintage tanned leather saddle bag.” Kate is wearing the daisy chain dress. Team this up with our erica stripe shopper and our sweetie-wrapper jewellery.

I love that Emma decided to colaborate with People Tree, and I think her collection is really fun and great to replace basics or make them absolutely chic for special ocassions. I support Fair Trade fashion, but only from heart. In my country fair trade and organic clothes are still a dream, and I can’t afford the shipping costs of almost anything (they are usually more expensive than the item itself).
I wish that People Tree would work in more countries, and awareness was more widely spread so we all could have a chance to support fair trade.

Everyone looks awesome!! Congrats to Hannah! I got some great style ideas from these and I clearly need to purchase a couple more things from Emma’s collection! I love the dress Hannah’s wearing.
