London-based artist and designer Zakee Shariff has joined forces with leading Fair Trade fashion pioneer People Tree, to design a new collection of easy-to-wear jersey pieces with unique bold prints.
The collection consists of four individual prints in Shariff’s signature using pop colours and paisley and bird motifs. These graphics are printed on three different easy-to-wear styles including a stretch mini-dress, a slouchy longsleeve box sweat, and a slashed sleeve tee.
All garments are hand screen-printed or rotary printed on 100% organic, Fairtrade certified cotton in India by Assisi Garments, one of People Tree’s Fair Trade producers who pay up to 30% more than conventional garment manufacturers. The organic cotton is from Agrocel, a pioneering Fairtrade certified organic cotton producer in Gujarat, India.
