The news from Pakistan is heart wrenching. Watching the pictures of those who have lost everything even the clothes of the backs of their children reminds me of the floods which hit Bangladesh only two years ago. These catastrophic events are happening ever more frequently.
Climate change is the most pressing issue of our time – so said Stephen Hawking on a talk I watched only yesterday on TED.com. (I’m not sure I think the solution is in creating colonies in outer space, as he is suggesting.) But how do we get people to act on Climate Change, and not just talk about it?
By the way, www.TED.com is an inspirational site. “inspired talks by the worlds leaders and thinkers.” Try Larry Lessig’s talk on “How creativity is being strangled by the law.”
