Spread the word about Fair Trade fashion by organising a Fair Trade fashion show! As a People Tree Promoter you’re entitled to a free loan of a Fashion Show kit showcasing People Tree’s current collection.
Twice a year we carefully choose a selection of clothes from our Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collections and to create a Fashion Show kit. Promoters apply for a Pack and if they are successful we send them it around a week before their show.
Once the show is over they return them to our offices the next day so they can be prepared for the next show.

Q. Am I entitled to request a Fashion Show kit?
A. Yes – simply register as a People Tree Promoter and place your first order.
Q. Who do I contact to request a Fashion Show Kit?
A. Please email peopletreepromoters@peopletree.co.uk at least one month before your show. We will send you a brief application form to complete and let you know very quickly if you are successful so you can plan your event. To meet the criteria your event must have 50 or more guests and must promote People Tree and Fair Trade fashion.
Q. My audience love the clothes and want to buy them; how do I organise this?
A. Along with the Fashion Show kit we send you a pack of mini People Tree catalogues and some order forms. Your audience can browse the catalogues before and after the show and full in their orders there and then. Ask them to make a list of the products they’d like to order. Remember, more orders means you’ll get a bigger discount!
Q. Do I sell the audience the actual clothes in the Fashion Show?
A. No – please return the Fashion Show kit intact. We will send out brand new clothes when we receive your orders.
Q. Am I able to make special requests for the contents of the Fashion Show kit? My potential models are all shapes and sizes!
A. The Fashion Show Kits are identical in size 10 to make it easier to supply all our Promoters.
Q. How much does it cost me to request the Kit?
A. It’s free! People Tree pays to send you it. We ask that you return it to us within 24 hours at your own expense. This will cost around £7 – £10 in postage charges.
Q. Do I have to wash the clothes before sending them back?
A. No, but it’s very helpful if you look after the clothes and fold them up and bag them before returning them to People Tree.
Q. Do People Tree supply music to add atmosphere to my Fashion Show?
A. Yes we do. We have recently produced our own music which is perfect for the catwalk. It’s jazz and hip hop and very rhythmic. A cd is included in the pack.
Q I’m a teacher and would like to organise a fair Trade fashion show for children at my school. Do you have kids Fashion Show kits as well?
A People Tree has recently launched a collaboration with Emma Watson and has made a fashion show kit for a teens in sizes 8 to 12, which would be perfect for younger fashionistas.
