People Tree at Shuga Buddha Festival

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

The festival season this year has been booming and People Tree were lucky to be a part of the summer of love at the Shuga Buddha Festival in London.

The one day festival saw some of London’s best signed and unsigned acts perform an eclectic mix of folk and indie music. Clothes stalls, fairy cakes and chill out rooms captivated audiences that weaved in and out of the performances. People Tree enjoyed being a part of the hustle and bustle with our very own stall dedicated to promoting Fair Trade fashions and selling our spring/summer collection.

Stood in the perfect spot, we were serenaded by the magical ‘Folk in a Box’, a very talented folk musician in a pitch black wooden box, which turned out to be an unforgettable performance! Later in the day People Tree dressed Handshake, a folk band, who praised the collection for its unique and stylish pieces, prompting more and more people to pay a visit to our quaint stall.

The day was tremendously exciting and ended with free massages, in rooms filled with incense and tea on tap! We left the festival feeling blissfully chilled, loving each minute of the day. The Shuga Buddha Festival is one we definitely will be coming back to next year!
