My second passion after human rights is Jazz Funk, so I was thrilled to be asked to come along and support the Helen Bamber Foundation by Stephen Brenninkmeijer, a friend and big supporter of People Tree and social business.

Phew! People Tree have just finished showcasing our great new spring summer 2010 collection at London Fashion Week. It’s always a busy week with long hours and a lot of hard work. It was great to take a bit of time out to catch People Tree favourite Bora Aku’s catwalk show.

Busy – back from Nepal now in London where we’re shooting the Autumn/Winter collection – today it’s the mens shoot for UK and Japan.

On Wednesday night I joined other movers and shakers in the Fair Trade movement to outline People Tree’s activities and our vision for a sustainable economic model, built on social and environmental justice.

After seeing news coverage of our planned protest outside the new Primark store in Tooting today the shop opened in a hurry yesterday. But that did not stop People Tree and War on Want supporters getting up early on a Saturday to show their concerns over Primark’s ethics.

Phew! Last week was a busy one. To start with it was London Fashion Week and People Tree were there showcasing our Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Sorry, I can’t show you the clothes just yet but believe me it will be worth the wait! Just have a read what two fashion journalists thought about the collection…
